These businesses work together with numerous schools, hospitals, prisons and other public sector infrastructure around the UK and internationally. The project leverages the extended corporate network to source unwanted products, upcycle them and provide them to key workers and others who will benefit most – donate, renovate, locate
Recirculate is on a mission to reduce waste and increase sustainability across out corporate network. To date, we have 'recirculated' 285 bikes, 20 laptops, 14 digital projectors, 28 industrial vacuum cleaners, 39 chairs of various types, 12 digital whiteboards, several tables and a couple of large sofas. These are being reused in hospitals, schools and charities, saving money, landfill space and resources.
The bikes are donated by staff, partners and the communities where we live and work, renovated by prisoners in bike workshops at HMP Aylesbury and HMP Peterborough, and located with NHS staff and children in need. We work with West, Central and North Middlesex hospitals in London, and John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, Southmead Hospital in Bristol, Broomfield Hospital in Essex and Peterborough City Hospital.
Office, school and hospital equipment and furniture is donated by partner businesses and schools and located with the network of schools and hospitals, as well as linked charities.
